Rental Terms & Conditions 

1. Overview - You're renting, not buying!  

  • When you rent a garment from Fantasy Garms, you are entering into a Rental Contract. Please understand that you DO NOT own the items. The rented items remain the exclusive property of Fantasy Garms and must be returned by the specified due date. We ask for your consideration. Since our gowns are rented by others, late returns or the non-return of an item can severely disappoint another customer who has planned their event around that garment. Please be prompt with your return so everyone can enjoy the magic!

 

2. The Rental Period

 

  • Duration: The rental period is 4 days (unless otherwise arranged with us). Beginning on the day the Garment is delivered to You and ending on the day the Garment must be posted back to us.

  • Delivery: We aim to deliver the Garment by the date requested, but it may in some cases it may arrive earlier.  We are not responsible for delays caused by the courier service.

  • Late Returns: The Garment must be posted back on the final day of the rental period using the provided return label. A late fee of £20 per day will taken from your rental deposit for  each day the Garment is delayed. If the Garment is over 7 days late, it will be considered a non-returned item and we will charge you the replacement value of these items.

3. Garment Care - Damages, Repairs & Loss of items 

You are responsible for the Garment during the entire rental period. Upon return, the Garment will be inspected for damages. 

  • Minor Damage: Small easily repairable seam splits or light, lost bodice beads or removable scuff marks will not be charged to your account. Any damages requiring a seamstress or extra cleaning costs will incur a damage fee of up to £20.

  • Major Damage: If the Garment is returned with damage that makes it un rentable (e.g., large permanent stains, severe tears, mould, cigarette holes) you are liable to pay the replacement value of the goods.

  • Cleaning: Do not attempt to clean or repair Garments yourself, all garments are professionally cleaned after each rental period. Please do not iron the items, a hand steamer is best to use if any creases appear prior to your event. 

  • Loss or Theft: If items are not returned to us due to loss or theft, we will charge you the replacement value of these items.

  • Return packing: Returned items are your responsibility until they reach us, so make sure they're packed up properly and can't get damaged on the way. please follow packing instructions & return in original boxes / packaging. 

4. Payment Process & Security Deposit

  • Payment Links: Upon confirmation of your rental request, you will receive a secure payment link via email for the total amount of the gown & refundable security deposit -This link will be active for  24 hours. If payment is not completed within the specified timeframe, the hold on the garment will be released, and it may be booked by another customer.​​

  • Deposit Requirement: A mandatory, refundable Security Deposit of £100 - £150 depending on the type of gown, is required for every garment rental. This deposit is processed at the time of booking along with the rental fee. ​Our gowns are very special to us & also very costly. The Security Deposit covers potential late return fees, partial compensation for non-returns & costs associated with minor, repairable damage to the garment.

  • Deposit Refund: After the garments have been returned & checked over for damages, your security Deposit will be fully refunded to your original payment method within 3-5 business days.

  • Deposit Deductions: (See section 3.Garment Care - Damages, Repairs & Loss of items)

5. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations: Cancellations made up to 14 days or more before the rental start date will receive a full refund, minus a £10 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the rental start date are non-refundable.

  • Fit/Style Issues: All dresses are unique & fit differently! Please review the product details & photos carefully before making a rental request. if you're still unsure please get in touch with to us to ask any further questions before requesting your rental. Refunds for fit & style issues are given on a case by case basis.
